7. How would you foster leadership from clinicians, CEOs, support staff and administration staff, integrating their efforts to achieve critical results?
The key to leadership is involvement and buy-in... It is making sure that all their interests are served and that they all get benefits, both tangible and intangible. They need to build teams of their peers and build 'spheres of influence' among their colleagues. They have to understand the rewards for the appropriate use of technology are tomorrow not just today... There must be much coordination in this process and there must be overall leadership by the CIO, CEO or 'key advocate" for the technology.
